Common ground

What serious Energy Healing programs share.

Energy anatomy as the foundation

All three schools start from a model of the human energy field. Healing Touch Program teaches the energy system and chakras at Level 1, Barbara Brennan School of Healing studies the levels of the field year by year, and Eden Energy Medicine covers meridians, the aura and chakras across its four Level 1 classes.

Assessment before hands-on work

Each method formalizes a step of observation before intervening. Healing Touch Program teaches chakra assessment, Brennan trains High Sense Perception, and Eden Energy Medicine uses energy testing. Students learn to notice what they perceive in the field and use it to plan the session rather than applying a fixed routine.

Documented sessions and a final evaluation

Credentials are earned over time. Healing Touch Program requires documented sessions, a case study and a Certification Board review; Eden Energy Medicine requires documented client sessions from Class 2 and a three-part exam; Brennan awards a Professional Studies Diploma after four years. Paths last from one to four years.

Ethics, scope and boundaries

Professional conduct is part of every curriculum. Healing Touch Program covers ethics, scope of practice and professional boundaries at Level 4, Eden Energy Medicine teaches ethics in each class and addresses legal questions, and Brennan includes Professional Practice and Integrative Care as a full strand of study.

Practitioner self-care and personal work

The practitioner's own balance is presented as a skill. Healing Touch Program teaches self-care methods at Level 3, and Brennan requires personal process sessions throughout its four years. Mentorship, required for at least 12 months at Healing Touch Program and offered between classes at Eden Energy Medicine, supports that growth.

Differences

Where the programs differ.

Nursing continuing education and hospital presence

Healing Touch Program lists ANCC accreditation for nursing continuing education and NCBTMB approval, and its certification exam comes from an independent Certification Board with renewal every five years. It is widely present in hospitals, which suits nurses and hospital-based practitioners who want a credential recognized in health care settings.

A four-year diploma with personal process

Barbara Brennan School of Healing is the longest program here: four years, about 20 class days a year and $7,900 in annual tuition. It adds a Creative Arts strand (ceremony, music, dance), required personal process sessions and Anatomy & Physiology I before Year 3, developing the person as much as the practitioner.

Energy testing and a demonstration exam

Eden Energy Medicine uses energy testing and the Five Rhythms, drawn from kinesiology and Chinese medicine, as core assessment tools. Its EEM-CP exam combines 100 online multiple-choice questions, a written and oral ethics section and a demonstration session with someone outside the candidate's family, followed by 12 continuing training hours every two years.

Online and in-person options

Healing Touch Program offers a Fast Track for Levels 1 to 3 at $1,297 and teaches live on Zoom as well as in regional classrooms. Brennan offers in-person or live Zoom training depending on the site. Eden Energy Medicine Level 1 teachers may allow Zoom participation, while Level 2 runs as quarterly 4-day classes.

How to choose

How to choose a Energy Healing certification program.

  1. 1

Decide how long you can commit

Healing Touch Program requires at least 12 months of mentorship on top of its five levels, Eden Energy Medicine spreads each level over a year, and Brennan runs four years part time. A shorter in-person program covers foundations and a full session protocol in far fewer days.

  2. 2

    Check what the credential requires

Compare final requirements: Healing Touch Program asks for documented sessions, a case study and a Board review; Eden Energy Medicine requires a three-part exam and 12 continuing training hours every two years; Brennan awards a diploma after four years. Know what you must complete after class ends.

  3. 3

    Budget beyond tuition

Add every cost you will pay. Healing Touch Program lists tuition plus mentorship ($500 to $1,000 or more) and a $475 certification fee. Brennan tuition excludes books, travel, lodging, meals, personal process sessions and Anatomy & Physiology I. Eden Energy Medicine lists a $450 certification application fee.

  4. 4

    Consider your professional setting

Nurses and hospital staff may value Healing Touch Program's nursing continuing education. Learners seeking deep personal development may prefer Brennan's four-year format. Those drawn to meridians and energy testing may lean toward Eden Energy Medicine. Wellness practitioners adding a full session protocol may look for a compact in-person program.

  5. 5

    Choose online or in person

Live online classes are common: Healing Touch Program runs Zoom classes, Brennan offers Zoom at some sites, and some Eden Energy Medicine Level 1 teachers allow Zoom participation. In-person training suits learners who want hand positions corrected in the room and regular practice with classmates.
