Tuition is set per program, not per tier.
Each of our 29 certifications has its own structure — number of in-person days, supervised practice hours, immersion stage, portfolio jury — so each program has its own tuition. Standalone programs run from $440 to $4,800. The same tuition applies whether you study in New York, Austin, or any of our other U.S. cities.
Tuition includes all in-person teaching, supervised practice support, certification, and one year of post-graduation continuing education. Interest-free monthly installments. A 25% deposit confirms your cohort spot.

One tuition, five layers of training.
In-person classroom
The full count of in-person teaching days, at 8 hours per day. This is the core: real practice with faculty in the room. Tuition includes all teaching, room rental, and materials.
Live cohort calls
Synchronous video calls between in-person modules — supervision, Q&A, case review with your faculty and your cohort. Always live, never recorded-replay only.
Supervised practice hours
Structured between-module practice — peer sessions, lay sessions, journaling, protocol design. Documented with rendus reviewed by your faculty. This is what the major accreditations count as contact hours.
Immersion stage (flagship programs)
On Practitioner and Flagship-tier programs, several days alongside a senior practitioner — observing, assisting, then leading sessions under supervision, with a written analytic report.
Portfolio + jury evaluation
A reflective portfolio of all your case work, plus a final evaluation before a faculty jury. This is what your certificate is anchored to — not a multiple-choice exam.
Post-graduation support
One year of continuing-education sessions and peer-supervision access after you complete the program. Included in tuition for all standalone programs.
Payment plans
Every program offers interest-free monthly installments spread over the program duration. A 25% deposit confirms your cohort spot. No application fee, no credit check.
Bundled and add-on modules
Two of our 29 programs (Mandala and Creative Journaling) are bundled inside our Expressive Arts Facilitation program at no separate cost. One program (Chi Nei Tsang) is offered as an add-on to enrolled students of related Harmonika programs, at +$1,200 on top of their primary tuition.
Refund policy
You may withdraw within the first two modules and receive a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee. After that, refunds are prorated against modules already attended.
No federal aid
Harmonika Institute is a private school issuing private certifications. We are not a Title IV institution; federal student aid does not apply. Some students use employer professional-development budgets.
