Published prices run from $497 for ACEP's first 15-hour course and about $800 for EFT International Levels 1 and 2 with a U.S. trainer to $4,999 for EFT Universe's 12-month program. All three providers teach the basic EFT protocol first: a setup statement, the tapping sequence and an intensity rating before and after. EFT International covers it in Level 1, ACEP in Professional Skills 1, and EFT Universe within its 48 Clinical EFT techniques. Everything else in the curriculum builds on this sequence.
EFT International and ACEP both teach Tearless Trauma and Tell the Story, two techniques that let the practitioner approach a difficult memory gradually and keep intensity manageable. EFT International adds the Movie Technique and guidance on intense emotions in its Level 2 syllabus. These tools appear early in both programs.
Each program includes a dedicated ethics component. EFT International teaches its Code of Ethics in Level 2, EFT Universe runs a Professional Ethics course on boundaries and working with health professionals, and ACEP covers scope of practice and ethical guidelines in Professional Skills 1. Ethics is also a condition of ongoing accreditation at EFT International.
Live classes are only the first step everywhere. EFT International requires 6 hours of mentoring for certification, EFT Universe mentors students through 40 case write-ups, and ACEP moves students into one-to-one mentoring in its third stage. Budget time and, in some cases, extra fees for this phase.
Certification depends on real practice. EFT International asks for 50 sessions with at least 20 people and 4 case studies, one of them recorded. EFT Universe reviews 40 case write-ups, and ACEP evaluates skills on 3 session videos. Expect to recruit volunteers or clients during certification.
ACEP reserves its EFT certification for licensed professionals such as mental health clinicians, physicians, nurses and acupuncturists, and its courses carry CE credits. EFT Universe also offers CE credits for several health professions. EFT International works through independent accredited trainers who set their own schedules and prices, so check eligibility directly with the trainer you choose.

EFT International Levels 1 and 2 cost about $800 with one U.S. trainer, and a certification and mentoring package from a U.S. trainer is $2,100, with certification completed in 3 to 6 months. EFT Universe covers 48 Clinical EFT techniques and adds a 13-lesson coaching course. EFT International stands out for group work with Borrowing Benefits, EFT with children and working by phone. ACEP concentrates Professional Skills 1 on core techniques, research and ethics before its mentoring stages.
ACEP is fully online, with live Zoom practice in groups of six students per facilitator. EFT Universe combines online lessons with a 4-day training offered in person or virtually and a 2-day intensive. EFT International workshops are live online or in person, depending on the accredited trainer.
If you are not a licensed health professional, ACEP certification is not open to you. Confirm entry requirements with EFT International trainers and EFT Universe before comparing anything else, and ask whether CE credits apply to your profession.
