Why Emotional Freedom Technique in Phoenix?
Phoenix's wellness market combines two distinct populations: retirees in Scottsdale and the Sun Belt suburbs (high disposable income, strong demand for holistic practitioners, low time-pressure), and a younger entrepreneurial class building practices in central Phoenix. Our cohorts often include healthcare workers transitioning out of regional hospital systems.
For students of Emotional Freedom Technique specifically, Phoenix's scene is a particularly good match: two-tier market: retiree clientele + young practitioners. strong demand year-round (with summer heat caveat). The local cohort runs in venue partners around Roosevelt Row, Arcadia, Scottsdale, with public transit and parking accessible from across the metro.
Phoenix students are often 30-50, with backgrounds in healthcare, real estate, hospitality, and tech (Phoenix's tech scene has grown rapidly). The retiree-adjacent practitioner pipeline produces unusually entrepreneurial graduates — many have a clear business plan from day one of the program.
What you'll be training in.

EFT — Emotional Freedom Technique, often called Tapping — combines a simple acupressure protocol with focused verbal work to address stress, anxiety, limiting beliefs, and emotional reactivity. The practitioner (or the client, in self-application) taps lightly on a specific sequence of meridian-related points on the body — top of the head, eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, under the arm — while the client speaks aloud about a specific issue.
What is happening physiologically remains debated, but the evidence base for EFT specifically — particularly through the Gold Standard EFT protocol developed by Dawson Church and colleagues — is now substantial. Multiple randomized controlled trials suggest meaningful effects on stress, anxiety, PTSD symptoms (in clinical settings, with licensed practitioners), and food cravings. The technique is unusually well-studied for a holistic modality.
